REACH Huron has a facebook site, with groups named REACH Huron, where all upcoming events will be posted; and REACH Kids which will provide up to date information about programming and events. Check them both out by logging on to facebook, then searching GROUPS for REACH Huron and REACH Kids.  Arena Footing May 7, 2010  We are very pleased to finally be in a position to provide a welcome update for all of you who have patiently followed our trails on the finalization of our footing surface. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of hosting Bob Kiser at REACH Huron. While he was pleased with the footing that was in place he was of the opinion that it was not suitable for all disciplines and that it could not be modified in any way to become a footing that would satisfy all of the various groups that want to use our facility. Mr. Kiser and our CEO & Executive Director Richard Harding visited several local pit operations in search of the materials that when blended would provide the footing we were looking for. After only several hours of searching we were fortunate enough to locate the raw products for our mixture. We want to thank Merner Contracting and particularly Dan Merner and his pit crew for their fantastic support and immediate action in working with us to create a product that we are confident you will all be happy with. We have already contacted a number of interested parties who have and will be coming to try out the new footing. So far the response is that the ground is “perfect”. We know that footing will not be “perfect” for everyone and we also know that maintenance of it is very critical for it to remain a solid footing. Our first show is this weekend and we hope that all of you who are participating will be happy with what you find and for those who aren’t participating we hope you will take the time to come out and have a look for yourself.
